I meant Daimler as separed of Chrysler. I don't know which gearbox use tuned Vipers, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a T56.
My question was more rhetorical in reference to MRR's post, and the non-viability of '1000hp manuals' including providing a manufacturer's warranty ;)

Fine what about the normal viper, Corvette Z06, GT500, Ford GT, and maybe even the regular Corvette which all provide a normal warranty with such a set up?

None of which produce anywhere near 1000hp :)
The Ford GT uses a Ricardo gearbox. But anyway the point I was trying to make is that those Tremecs when bolted up to 'production' Holdens and Falcon racers (with narrowish rubber and about 40% of the comparable hp) have hardly proven to be a 'bulletproof' transmission. Which leads me to think that it'd be a brave manufacturer that provided a meaningful consumer warranty on any manual transmission in any vehicle that made 1000hp
_________
Btw the strength of a clutch system does not relate to the effort required to push the clutch pedal

Thats not the point. What I meant is Mercedes has no excuse for not offering a manual on the C63 for warranty reasons (unfortunately I can see why they dont bother since it wouldn't sell in the US market)

Found some pics taken by a web magazine.
(normal people look at the numberplates, carenthusiasts recognise the little amber light spots in the fascia to know in which country this car has been registered ;) )
