Aston Martin We Were Really Thinking Of Rebadging the GT-One But In The End Decided Not To LM Edition.
Since when was Aston Martin financially sound enough to go racing like this?
I thought they were in a financially precarious position.
Oil money.
Hmmm, that design looks very reminiscent of something.... I know, it's the Lola B2k/40 from about 5 years ago. I think that Aston Martin are kidding themselves on by thinking that petrol can prevail at Le Mans, despite the new regulations. The most advanced diesels aren't as badly affected by restrictions in boost pressure, displacement and air intake as the rules intend.
Well I think they are counting on performance balancing....
It'll be interesting for the ILMC races leading up to Le Mans....as I think there might be a good deal of sand bagging going on to mask the true performance of the car to prevent some kind of adjustment...
i love the Gulf Design on this car
all 2011 car will have that ugly-arse fin....
Could not have said it any better! I can only hope that public outcry will revoke this design rule within a short time!
Everyone's speaking English. Hmm, I think I'll sign up and start posting in a completely different language.
A Lithuanian in Adu Dabi? Really pushing the limits of translation software... it apparently MIGHT read:
"Unwilling to do less, Aston Martin are associated with force and speed. Everything else are for toddlers."
Fresh pics from Sebring.
Great pics Dino! So they have decided to go with a closed cockpit car then and no Gulf colors :( . It will be interesting to see what it looks like with all the body panels on, at least the engine looks nice!
That is NOT the 2011 Aston....Cytosport are running the old(last year?) Lola Aston Coupe in this year's ALMS in P1 class since Porsche pulled the RS Spyder. Since 2010 car can be grandfathered to run in 2011...

yes, the shot of the chassis number in Dino's post gave the car away as B09-60-1S, so it is a 2009 car. (it ran as 009 for most of the 2009 and the full 2010 season as a replacement tub for B09-60-1, that was crashed, by either Verstappen or Enge in early 2009.)
