NHL Trade Deadline
What are your thoughts on the trade deadline?
With my favorite team being the leafs I'd love to see some moves take place, to give them a spark or something...
Now knowing that Sundin is unlikely to go, I'm not sure what will end up happening, when it comes to Toronto the team is pretty much locked up with no trade clauses.
What are your thoughts/predictions for the deadline?

I have given up on the Leafs finally, now I just pray for God to be nice and move a team to Hamilton

Before Crosby came, weren't the penguins going to move there?
-
A team in Hamilton wouldn't work, they'd need to have it in Kitchener..
-
Anyways, what are you thoughts on the deadline?
Will Tanguay go? Brad Richards?

I hope one of them comes to Montreal.
One very interesting rumor is that Marian Hossa might move to Montreal. That would be pretty sweet. the thing is Montrea has very shitty players, and very good players. No team will want the likes of Kostopulos, or Smolinski. They will want the Kostitsins and plekanec.
I rather see no trades, than to see one of those players move out.

I'm sure Balsillie is still working on something. He's a pretty determined kind of guy, and has a few bucks to spare.
-
Brian Campbell has gone to the Sharks.
-
The Canadiens exchanged Cristobal Huet to the Lightning in exchange of... a second round draft pick in 2009?! I give up, there's no hope with the current leaders of the Habs.
-
Richards went to the stars and Fedorov went to the caps.
It'll be interesting to see how Fedorov and Ovechkin play together.

The chances are next to none with Bettman.

The Lightning? Hah! He came to Washington. We've already got Olie (Olaf Kolzig) and Johnny (Brent Johnson), but I guess they thought we needed a third goalie. And that draft pick? It wasn't even originally Washington's; they got it when from San Jose when they made a trade with them earlier in the year. All in all, I think things are looking up for my hometown team.
LET'S GO CAPS!

Huet should be the starter: Kolzig's save percentage is a .888, 43rd in the league, while Huet is rocking a .916, 11th in the league.

Ah yes, you're right, sorry. :o
Well indeed things are looking up, you have Ovechkin after all...

Yeah I agree.
