You might want to search a little harder before starting a new thread next time. :)
The SLR's engine is obviously not the only thing contributing to the sound of the car, because in the actual SLR it has a much more defined sound, very unique. I'm guessing it's got to do with the exhaust, but the SLK in that vid sounded empty in comparison to the real thing. Anyone who's watched the topgear episode where he tests the SLR will know what I'm talking about.
Well didnt they redesign the exaust to be more open as one of the updates? one of the cars could have been pre-new exaust well the other is equipped with it.
