#3 Despite its relatively short lifespan, the C140 model range was renamed three times. Between 1992 and 1994, traditional SEC acronym was used. For 1994, the model names were changed to the S500 Coupe and the S600 Coupe. Finally, the name CL-Class was adopted in June 1996.
