The Kinect stuff will be mandated by MS, no way around that. As long as there's enough improvements for the rest of us, no harm no foul. Definately like the point to point idea, I've been missing them since NFSSE...
i would like the point to point races from forza 1.
unless there is some MAJOR revamping of the game engine, all cars from forza 3 (inc. DLC) should be there from the get go..
3 has point to point races. Not as many maybe, but there's a full category for point to point races, including some segments of Nurburgring and of course 'Kiado. These races are a lot of fun too, I hope they keep them.
yeah i mean the dedicated point to point courses - not just the usual tracks cut into segments
Its really the great idea ever talk in this article.

Looks good, i hope Forza 4 has more of a game plan to it, also i hope they have new supercars. In Forza 3 there should have been more moden supercars, there wasn't even a Zonda F.

Supercars always spoil everything. The less supercars the better.
^^^ I partly agree. In Forza you can race different types of car, from race cars to hot hatches and supercars, so you need some supercars, and the "some" supercars on the game need to be more modern. E.g. Having the Zonda F on Forza instead of the C12 S, or have both. I agree in a way, having too many supercars would be bad and Forza isn't just about supercars, i would like newer race car and particularly hot hatches.
In general the line up in Forza 3 is a little dated, agreed. It's one of my main gripes with that game.. that and the sometimes baffling track/car combinations of many of the races.
I don't see how that's all that hard to pull off in a racing game. Action/adventure games have been doing it convincingly for nearly a decade. Not so sure about inclement weather conditions, though. If it's not hard to implement realistically, then sure. But I have a feeling it's alot more work to get that to work than it seems.....and it's not something I'd want Turn 10 to spend a whole year working on when they could be working on something more worthwhile.

The interaction of "inclement" weather and a tyre and aero is actually VERY complex :(

I spent most time in GT5 driving "normal" cars nowadays on standard tire....or tuned car on standard tire....they move around on you so much and keep you on the tip-toe...
I think in terms of dated car thats probably a problem with most racing games with some degree of realism to it, if we had to pretend they have actually done some research with the real car....a brand new car game dev will have little access to them and its hard to say if they get it "right"....I find a lot of the newer car in GT tend to be a bit odd in their behavior....

WTH? Did you just quote my post from page 2 and present it as a post of your own?
Spambots do that.
I agree about the supercars. The best thing in Forza games is the ability to buy manufacturer cars and muck around with them and turn them in to real racing beasts. In fact, it annoys me when there's cars that you can't upgrade as well as the tuning company version. You should have access to all the parts to make your car as good as that.
One thing I think that they could do that would be fairly easy is let the computer cars get automatically upgraded to be competitive. They already made an auto upgrade system for the player in order to upgrade your car to the class you want to race it in, seems like it would be super easy to use this on the computer cars. Make it so you actually have multiple opponents, not just one and the rest being irrelevant fodder. Also some auto liveries for computer cars to make it feel like you're really in a race, not a manufacturer advertisement showcase. Just slaps on the numbers and some decals in a preset design.
