They had a demo running at the Scottish Car Show last weekend .... running the Goodwood FoS Hillclimb. Looked excellent.
SADLY, wasn't prepared to queue for ages for a shot :(
Watched one of the rally lads have a go and based on that does seem good.
Might take the plunge and buy a Playstation after 20 years :)
GT Academy 2013 is available now on Playstation Store. It is also GT6 Demo. Despite the new physics and stuff I don't feel its all that different. Maybe the FWD is a bit more lively now? Need to call up the same cars in GT5 to see....
Even if Matra might not be happy, I am happy that Silvestone is going to be in GT6...:P
I didn't really think the demo was all that different. Nor were the graphics all that improved. Although I felt that way too between GT3 and GT4.
I'll have to wait and see.
Great news! They've announced a Gran Turismo movie! It's from the producers of The Social Network and 50 Shades of Grey! Come revel in the deep story and rich characters of the Gran Turismo universe!
Or something. They really have announced the film though, and it really is produced by those guys. No idea why.
No idea why they're even attempting a movie out of it.
Maybe it will be 2 hours of license testing?

You sure you want a PS3 right before the PS4 comes out?
-
Thats the best time to buy a PS3...they will be dirt cheap...:D Thats when I bought a PS2...:P
The car, at least the 370Z in the demo time trial is much more lively than the GT5 counterpart....I really cannot say if it looks all that different aside from lighting....
You've just described The Fast and the Furious, haven't you?
Now that you say it, yes, I have.
Does that mean I can be, what according to Kitdy should be called, a cinerector?
-
Or in the parlance of Arrested Development, you will have anustart as an analrapist for the cinerector and make cinestory?
-
Are we still talking about movies?

Like the cars in GT5, will the movie have both premium and standard scenes?
Perhaps it can be like the Wizard of Oz and only be in color for a select few shots.

It should be about the long gestation of each GT game....

If you have the chance to, I suggest you try both GT and Forza before taking the plunge.

That would make Gone with the Wind look like a short film.

Forza is unfortunatley a dead series, since the new Xbox is such a disappointment!
-
Hate Forza, never yet found a setup where it felt "right" :(
tbh, I am likely to be disappointed by GT6 as I don't really think GT5 was very good at real world ... BUT they are now talking the talk about realism ( real modelling ) and maybe got a chance :)
BUT it looked like it was promising, whether that will be the case for all cars/tracks or whether the positive views we had were because it was the Nissan Deltawing they were running, so "real world experience" is limited for 99.999% of drivers to make comparisons !!

I have just spend a couple of hours playing the GT Acadamy Demo, and it felt quite good.
It's the First Gran Turismo where the rear end is becoming alive under braking, however wheel locking still don't occur :(

With or without ABS?

Also, finishing all the GT Academy qualifying events get you 3 extra events, 2 with GTR Black Edition road car on 2 of the shorter layout of Silverstone, and 1 with the Nismo GTR GT3 car at the full circuit..
