The need of a small élite of rich car enthusiasts to have a quick, sporty but also roomy and functional granturismo, able to carry without problems any equipment useful in the spare time, such as shotguns, golf-bags, skis and water-skis, dates back to the Fifties. – It’s got dimensions, technical specifications (max speed 275 km/h, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5,2 sec.) and safety solutions identical to the saloon’s, but for hatchback and 50 kg more
– Folding the rear seats, the boot space is functional and roomy, 1,80 m long
– The boot space can be designed and assembled following the buyer’s needs: without modifying the space, the factory can in fact create made to measure protected trunks and supplementary bays
– Produced under request in small series, the Bellagio Fastback Touring can be realized with colours, interiors and materials directly chosen by the customer
– The Bellagio Fastback Touring has four comfortable seats and offers, between the rear seats, a capable space equipped following the client’s requests: it can become a bar, a small refrigerator, a separated space for game

I'm assuming the black square is some sort of rear- television.

and still, theres something unsettling about this car....it reminds me, with the window line at least, of early/late 90's Pininfarina concepts that were eventually sold to the Koreans......

I can' see anything Korean, to be honest, but there is something similar to Maserati Kubang's rear in this car.

It certainly is much more successful than the [I]other[/I] Quattroporte Estate...

This car is still 90% Pinninafarina's design. I can not understand how in good conscience Touring can change one detail and put their badge on it.

Not a bad looking estate, but it's not the fastest like it claims :p

The fastest estate that you can buy is the Audi RS6 Avant

looks good, a reminder of the 456 Estate... a little.

...i just cannot like the way the changed the little side vents. they could seem just a sticker upon the old vents. changed at all, or removed, would make me feel better:)

Odd that they call it a 'fastback', the style and shape of the rear pillars/glass does not fit what I know has been traditionally termed 'fastback' which has a longer slope.

No, they kept the Maserati badges, but replaced the PF ones with Touring ones. Essentially Touring is implying the car is their design when in reality they only changed one aspect.

since it could imply some structural modifications, i can justify this car as a "Touring", even if the look didn't change a part from the end and some minor details.

Then they just want to be famous :)
