Drakkie, ta mère.
On another humuorous side-note, I came across this vid on YouTube - it even does drakkie's job for him! :p

EDIT: On topic - It's the vandals of cars belonging to others that should face the shotgun treatment. I feel very strongly about that. How much anger, pain and financial problems do they cause? It's ridiculous.
These people don't care about whether the victim can afford or manage to bring the vehicle back into the condition it was in pre-vandalism. Imagine you owned something that couldn't be replaced (like a family heirloom, for example) and some idiot ruined it for you. You'd be devastated. Well, some people, especially those that frequent sites like this, feel the same way about cars. Personally if that happened to my car I'd want the person responsible tortured. Badly.

First of all, sorry for the double-post but I think the following post needs to be seen as clearly as possible, and some things just need to be said...
Atleast I never had any damage, not even by someone else's cause. Not in my own car, not in the van at work, while I probably drive more distance then you last year(45.000km). I never drive in a unsafe manner, because of my (lack of) crumpling zone. I do like to hit the gas pedal and drive swiftly through traffic, like most of us. I get dozens of compliments by people, that i drive well. And that is what counts. So if you'd stop making too fast judgements please, thanks.
That post you quoted was when I had barely any experience. My first car and then a petrol at it(learned to drive diesel). It's like when the parents leave the house, the kids go party, you gotta have tried everything..
OK, OK: My post there was just in jest! My personal take on humour is that people can expect to have the "rip" taken out of them if they make "silly" or "unacceptable" comments or mistakes (hence the whole "issue" that's going on at the moment), as long as the people that are "having the fun" can take the same treatment back themselves. If you let yourself become easily offended, it just makes problems worse.
I realise that during the time you've been driving you've probably improved a lot, but posting about "burnouts", "near misses" and "traffic light racing" isn't doing you any favours. I do suspect that some of your "stories" about your driving escapades are simply untrue and my advice to you would be for you to admit to the ones that aren't now - it'll save you a lot of further trouble in the future.
Another thing I'd like to say to you is that EVERYONE has made mistakes in the past. The important thing for you is to move on. Don't advise people to do things that you know aren't acceptable (yes, I am referring to the "kitten thing"), and if you do have to mention any questionable things that have happened in the past, make it clear that you would no longer act that way. Same with "lies". The most frustrating thing is Sjoerd, that you ARE capable of posting "properly" and being a valuable part of discussions here - it's just time to put that into practice; and the sooner you do, the sooner all of the negative feelings you're getting from other members will stop.
I am prepared to stop the mickey-taking if you're prepared to make an effort to post reasonably from now on (and I'm sure most others feel the same way). Do we have a deal?
Clive :)

Is this a reasonable post?
Is this a reasonable post?
I hope you don't mind but I'd like to know the reason(s) why you're asking that question.
Do you think what I said in post no.775135 is fair?
-
I am quite neutral on this subject. I ageree there have been odd posts by drakkie that leave him open to abuse but i would rather not issue that abuse because IMHO that would make me to some extent hypocritical because perhaps some people find my posts odd too. So your big long post is fair but I dont agree with how you seem to be the issuer of "pawnage". I would rather question him more legitimitly. Just my 2 cents, im just to nice maybe :).
I found the comment regarding extensive gravel drifting in an alto a little odd and wondered if this matched your opinon too therefore explaining my last post.

I would normally agree with that to a certain level...but, there's "odd" and there's "downright ridiculous". I feel that some of drakkie's posts are the latter. You don't exactly see me flaming everyone that makes an odd post...Also, in an Internet forum I'd expect a level of jokes/pisstaking/ownage/whatever as long as people aren't actually at the point of victimising others - I'm just poking fun at the repeated silliness, in this case. If you actually look at what I'm trying to do, it's more reasonable than just that, I feel. I have said that any poking-fun will stop when the ridiculousness does and have encouraged drakkie to post more intelligently, with greater thought for what he's saying.

"Pwnage" as you put it, is just for fun, isn't intended as serious and means nothing in the most part - it's an Internet joke. Someone could make a funny picture based on something I've said in a stupid moment, but as long as they don't mean it to be cruel I'm not going to take offense. For example, I participated in the last "avatar ownage" of Waugh-terfall, even though I consider him to be a friend - he even joined-in himself even though it was ironic and perhaps foolish. We have plenty of members that regularly post to take shots at one-another but they aren't questioned when coming out with the "your mum" etc. comments. I'm not some grand-master or authority on ownage - just someone that's a little fed-up with repeated BS and comments encouraging wrongdoing. Besides, I don't always start piss-taking straight away - I do ask fair and legitimate questions, but when all you get back is more drivel what are you supposed to think?
I found the comment regarding extensive gravel drifting in an alto a little odd and wondered if this matched your opinon too therefore explaining my last post.
Well it is entirely possible that he and a few friends decided to have a mess about on some gravel somewhere - but I don't think the word "drift" was the right one to use considering he drives a FWD car and I doubt he did actually get the car into a rear-wheel slide without using the handbrake. If for example, someone picked-up on that and decided to have some fun with it e.g. making an "Alto-X-drift" picture or something I think that's reasonable as long as it's a harmless joke.
And yes; I'm sure that some of my comments seem as blunt as Jimmy Carr's - but at the end of the day he's just a comedian just trying to have a laugh. If you can't have a laugh about anything, what can you do?

Best thing for 'em I say unless they have 'Sport' as a prefix

Nah, the "Sport" sucks, too! :p
The Fiat Panda 100HP, Renault Twingo GT and Suzuki Swift Sport are much better cars for the money.
I still sympathize with the owners of the cars though - imagine if someone did that to yours if they simply didn't personally like it...! :(
