As Matt said there was R's under Acura, but not for this one, so someone should rename it to Honda........The one with the black bonnet is the concept, the one with the white bonnet is the production. Honda should really include this car under Acura so we can have it in the U.S.
alright now im confused-didnt is say the first pics were the concept? i thought matt concluded that his pics were of the production and (though this really threw me off) matt said there is a production Acura NSX-R

There is a production version of the NSX-R.

1992
honda reveals the light weight nsx-r this follows a mugen version with lowerd, stiffend suspension and some carbon fibre body work as well as a 3.2 litre engine
1997 Nsx S.zero is released using the principles of the acura nsx-r
info from a book i have called supercars, also in 2002 the nsx-r concept was made no idea if it made it to production
oh and to clear up the is it an acura or honda arguement it says this at the top of the page. "the type r is the hottest version of the nsx, the stock version ( normal nsx) of which is sold with acura badging in the U.S. this performance option is not availble in the U.S and therefore the type r is badged as a Honda not an Acura

Why does it really matter to you if it's a Honda or an Acura. Like has been said before: IT'S THE SAME CAR.
Why does it really matter to you if it's a Honda or an Acura. Like has been said before: IT'S THE SAME CAR.
it only matters because if it was an acura that means there would be one in the us and i would certainly like to get a ride in it :D thats why it matters
-
NSX-R is only Honda and is not for sale in the US... I've never heard of one around the US, too bad. It would be awesome to look at it, snap some pics and if possible get a ride :)

It matters because one is an NSX and one is an NSX-R. In the US, Honda does not sell an NSX-R in their Acura brand. Yes, of course the base NSX is the same car in Honda and Acura lots. So, cheese-tacular, to answer your question, there is no Acura NSX-R.
