That all looks very familiar...
It looks like they maybe added some "padding" near the gate where the man in the single seater went off last year.
You sure drilled the curb hard after climbing the hill at meadow Matra! How cold was it there?
On a sunny day, the meadow section is beautiful. All of a sudden, you open into bright light and off to your right you can see some rolling Scottish hills.

So is that road normally use for road traffic? Or is it the driveway of some estate?
-
It was custom laid in 1967 as a hillclimb track after the club lost it's traditional hillclimb to housing development.
Only we get to use it.
Another hillclimb in Aberdeenshire is Fintray and it is a road on a working farm which the club paid to have paved with tarmac and safety barriers. Sadly it takes a week of night time efforts by volunteers to clean the track of manure and mud from tractors before an event :(
Third hilclimb we use was custom built in 1992 as the first stage of a planned motorsport complex to include F2 circuit, R&D premises and future growth plans for F1. In Scotland where it rains more days than it doesn't. Not surprisingly this ambitious plan stopped at the hillclimb :)
All our events for the season are listed

and by clicking on the club links you can see the circuits on their web pages.

yep :( Safety required the investment after he had ended up down in the trees.
This time we had a 7-esque bike engined car leave the track in the trees after the crest of the hill. 100mph head on. Thankfully he was OK, but front end of car now defunct :(

yeah, new tarmac laid last year and there is now a 2 inch drop DOWN to the kerb on that corner. I knew I needed to avoid it as it upsets the car quite a bit. But red-mist comes on and was pushing :)

Warmest was 14, most of it was 10 - lower in the morning :( Centigrade !!

Yes when the screen doesn't mist up !
One run the camera shows the screen misting up BUT doesn't reflect how bad it was on my side. Came out on to the meadow unable to see anything !! Scary moment :)
Still, it's great fun !!!!

There's so much crashing I can't help but wonder how they found time to race. :D

Irish, even crazier in the forests than the Scots :)

The "best" days of British Touring Car Championship racing.
LOTS of door handles and wing mirrors removed in those days and huge egos and it became seen as "fair game" to muscle people off.
John Clelland still owns a Vauxhall dealership in the borders and still the same :) :)

That F50 sounds surprisingly good and the F40 sounds suppressed. Maybe it's the turbos.

I used to play the Playstation version of that game in a similar manner. FULL CONTACT FULL THROTTLE. After seeing some YouTube clips of that era of BTCC I'm glad I wasn't too far off the mark. :D
Come to think about it, I still haven't finished the full 1997 season yet. Last I checked I was leading the championship in the A4. Take THAT Williams-Renault!

I think Matra would get a kick out of this-
