Aston martin Db5 has to be the best and most original.
Oil slick, bullet proof window protecter thingy, sat nav (in the 1960's) the list continues........

I have two favorites (I'm greddy :D )
The Classic Bentley (From Russia With Love); and
The Aston Martin Vanquish (Die Another Day) which "is fitted with the latest weaponry including machine-guns and missile launchers. One of 500 hand-assembled but unarmed copies of this car can be yours, should you have the $345,000 price of admission."
ASton DB5, Vanquish etc etc. Yep beautiful.
But my favourite is the Esprit in

and out of water :)

in The Spy Who Loved Me.

Local museum has all the Bond cars, including the 2CV and Renault taxi :)
They found the underwater shell that was actually used in the movie rotting on an island in the Caribean and it's on display. It had just been left behind when they finished filming :)

It's another museum opened by the same guy.
I've had talks with them about them keeping my Alpine ( it was main feature in TV series in UK ) when I'm not using it.
They've more cars than they can reasonably find space.
Edinburgh airport site was a cheap place for them to store more cars.
Allowing people in to see it is icing on their cake.
They make thir money out of people hiring and using cars for promos.
The Batmobile is currently at Edinburgh.
NO ONE is allowed to take photos inside the car.
A rule from the film-makers they guy said.
He stores the car and whenever they want it he has to make it available.
Currently they've got all the Bond cars in the collection there just now.
As well as the Indiiana Jones truck and motrobike/sidecar.
and the Trotters van :)
If you're stuck at Edinburgh Airport it's certainly more interesting than reading the car magazines in W.H.Smiths :)
I prefer this Aston AMV8 (i'm not sure if it really is called like this, but hey, who cares..) from the movie The living daylights
What a great topic.....
I'd call it a tie between the DB5 from From Russia With Love and Goldfinger, and the submersible Lotus from The Spy Who Loved Me.
Honorable Mention goes to the two AMC's in The Man With The Golden Gun (the '74 Matador driven by the villain that sprouted wings and flew, and the '74 Hornet that Bond did the Spiral Jump over the river with.)
Aston Martin Vanquish and Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day. Never new there was a F355 in Goldeneye.
the Rolls Royce from Goldfinger
My favorite is the Toyota 2000GT in "You Only Live Twice".
definitely the Esprit that was a submarine..... :D

It's a V8 Vantage I think :)
Not sure of my fave... probably Zao's Jag XKR or the DB5 ;) Seen the XKR in real life... looks wicked :D
the vanquish is the best car ever used in a bond movie.'die another day is the only james bond movie that i have seen. i never got aroung to see any other parts. the second best car would be the silver 7 series used in a previous movie. i read that they drove the 7 series from the 3rd floor of a perking on to a shop. the total damage cost was around $100,000. 2 weeks ago there was an old bond movie coming on tv. i dont remeber its name but it starred sean connery. the car was a classic with a bulletproof shield that pops out from the trunk to protect the rear windsheild. my dad didnt let me watch coz i had to study for exams.
 :(
That would be an Aston Martin DB5, you were watching the opening sequence of Thunderball.
What about the Z-8???
did you forget this fantastic supercar???
"More beautiful than a Bond Woman. And it won't double-cross you in the morning"

I agree snailich, z8 is the car, it has en enormous girl per km consume, and it has a great design, it is one of the best bond's car
would definately be the AMC AMX in Man with the Golden Gun. A close second would be the Lotus

Hmmm, this is a toughy. I would have to say my favourite bond car is the DB5 from Goldfinger/Goldeneye, simply because it is the quintisesential bond car, my favourite chaser car has to be the Ford Taunus from TSWLM, simply for the way it is flung off the road and into the house roof at a near perfect 90 degree angle. The worst bond car: definately the AMC's used in TMWTGG, BURN THEM ALL!
oh, and acronyms, just for the utterly confused:
TSWLM: the Spy Who Loved Me
TMWTGG: The Man With The Golden Gun
just a little thing of detail also, the Car used as a pursuer in Tommorow Never Dies is in fact a black Ford Granada/Scorpio, not a Sierra, and also in A View To A Kill the Baddie also drives a Range Rover.

Why do you hate the AMCs? I thought they were a classic, good-looking car
AMC, the company, not the car, have a reputation...... Maybe the car is ok, i find it rather ugly however, and it probably handles quite badly, but that's just my opinion.......
Well nowadays AMC's are interesting to me just for the novelty value.
My favorite is the Toyota 2000GT in "You Only Live Twice".
100 % agreed, just because of the rarity of the cabrio version.
The 1964 Lincoln Continental is in my opinion the coolest of all Bond-cars. It is featured in Goldfinger when a gangster (of course) is being driven by odd-job. The gangster gets shot and the car gets crushed. What a shame!
What about the Z-8???

Z8 more beautiful than a bond girl! dont think so.
Z8 more beautiful than a bond girl! dont think so.
Well the Z8 and the girls have one thing in common, the most important instruments are in the center. :D
I really like the 2000GT, in my opinion it looks quite similar to a TVR.
I reckon if Back to the future had not used it, the Delorean DMC-12 would have been a Bond car, it just seems like the sorta car he would use, futuristic styling and everything.
I reckon if Back to the future had not used it, the Delorean DMC-12 would have been a Bond car.
Well it was part way there to being a baddies car smuggling drugs :)
Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day OR that gorgeous Aston Martin V8 from The Living
Daylights... can't decide....
cant go wrong with the vanquish

and the AMV8

I'm gonna say the Aston Martin DB6 from the origional. Classic.

For the longest time, I thought that was a Mustang. And as it turns out, it does bear a striking resemblance to the '69's.
Anyway, my fav far and away is the DB5. Beautiful. It probably was at its best in Goldfinger, but damn did it sound good in Goldeneye. Stole the show from that Ferrari, at least for me personally.
my favourite is the Z8 and the vanquish also isn´t bad
My favourite is the Jaguar by miles. But I have to say that the BMW 750i was a firm favourite a while back (before I saw Die Another Day :)) and I also like that Aston Martin form The Living Daylights a helluva lot :D.
Enjoy...
