Four interesting racers captured at Le Mans over the years ...

This weekend, racing enthusiasts from around the world should have gathered at Le Mans for the annual 24 Hours races. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the race has been postponed to September and next month's Le Mans Classic has actually been postponed a whole year. This has prompted us to take a look back at previous editions and feature four cars that particularly captured our attention.
A Le Mans Classic regular is this Ferrari 512 BB LM, which was also raced at Le Mans in period. As can be seen in our extensive, 32-shot gallery, it has had a very busy historic racing career.
That can also be said for this Ford GT40, which was originally dispatched to Shelby American. Due to paperworks issues, it was sent back to England and later starred in Shell commercials. Today, chassis GT40P/1025 is part of an impressive British collection. The owner has raced the car with great success all around Europe.
A much rare machine is this Porsche 936 built by Kremer Racing using the original drawings. It did not actually race at Le Mans in period but has made it to La Sarthe a couple of times in the hands of German ace Marco Werner.
Another rarity is the Iso Grifo A3/C featured today. It is one of just a handful of examples built with right-hand drive. It was delivered new to England and campaigned in some local events. Still in British hands, B 0215 was brought out for the most recent Le Mans Classic.
