TBH this was coming, FIA clearly has its own interest in mind, they couldn't careless for what is working and what is not. I think all the WEC rounds has about as much combined live attendance outside of Le Mans as 1 Sebring race....
At least this time around Sebring date is not clashed with WEC dates, so we might still see the OEMs coming to US to get their racing mileage in...

Well, Silverstone doesn't happen until nearly a month after Sebring. I believe that Audi and possibly Toyota lobbying the ACO and the FIA over that and giving them time to race and/or test there was part of the Silverstone April date.
