have you still got the original silver factory plate, that goes on the inside of the right front fender?
The car looks superb. :)

Yes, and body stamps as well. Will take some better photos today and after it's dressed up with graphics.
Still a bunch of small things to do, can't wait for testing next week.
Just a handful of small details to address, but we're ready for Laguna Seca next week. Gonna be a blast... can't wait! :D
My paddock mate pictured here is the '77 Daytona class winner that we almost bought instead of the GT.

will give you a good opportunity to find out whether you did the right thing or that you ought to have regrets:):)
Anyway, have lots of fun, and we are looking forward to see some nice shots of rare machinery there.
Looks fabulous!
Let us know how the shakedown goes.

I'm happy with my choice, though the #42 car IS available. ;)

It's a beast with the 2.5 engine! We didn't get it on a dyno but it feels better than the estimated 300hp, ripping accleration, far more than when it was a 2.0 and much quicker than the 911 was. Glad we kept the modern Tilton pedals, the brakes are even better than before. Handy bias adjust on the dash as original now instead of next to the seat. Quite a blast sliding the car on bias-ply Goodyears, the treads squirm a bit under braking. Without doubt the first practices at Laguna will be with caution. :o
Got my helmet from the painter today too. Everything loaded, truck departs tomorrow. Will get LOTS of photos, and in-car video. :D
Wow, it's been moving along quite quickly since I've last checked this thread!
Have fun, be safe!
^^^ agreed ... but above ALL ...... BE FAST :)
Absolutely brilliant, one of my favourite cars ever, colour me extremely jealous.
Oh, have fun!
Have fun and be safe csl!
Dude, that is sweet!
Oh, and long time no see everyone :P
Egg Nogg! Where have you been? BTW, do I have to stick a piece of paper on the shifter of this one? :p
Thanks everyone, this did come together very quickly. The finish quality is excellent but like I said, we didn't go nuts since we're gonna continue to race it. Being fresh, on bias Goodyears with this much power, Laguna will be more an extended re-aquaintance; at Daytona
in a month we'll see how close we can get to 9/10ths. Hey, I'm not bendin' it again... dude's gotta know his limitations. ;)
