I chose this place because i have always had a passion for cars and since about a year ago have been looking into careers and i am currently aiming to become a motorsport engineer and take the course and possibly PHD at Oxford Brookes University but it is a good idea to get used understanding the basics so i went and worked with performance cars for this week and it is probably the best experince ever and i will probably go there next year if i get chance.[/QUOTE]
Knew I recognised it :).
Brookes is excellent, visited in March and I'm starting this autumn
Edit: Fingers crossed

What course are you looking to do, i went there for 4 days last summer for a motorsport engineering taster and the Uni was pretty sweet especially the new building with a name i've forgotten:confused:

Motorsport Engineering. Yeah that new buliding really sold it for me, aswell as people like Geoff Goddard and Adrian Reynard lecturing there. They're installing a car rig and a 1:4 scale (iirc) wind tunnel too, which should be completed in a year or so. Where did you stay? Was it the block of halls inside the Wheatley campus by any chance?

No we were staying in the Clive booth halls near the headington campus, you'll have to let us know whta you think to it as in a few years time i could be following in your footsteps, any info and opinions would be great over the next few years.
