For some bizzare reason I know that that is one of the cars used in Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo & Juliet"
A "Noble Executioner".
My head is so full of useless trivia - it just isn't funny.

AArrrrrrr! you are on mine too! cos i like your funny posts. :D ;)
Damn, I'm australian and even I know that car is a 80's model buick regal. Nice body mods, considered doing something similar...
Buick Regal, Pontiac Gran Prix, Chevy Monte Carlo, or even a Oldsmobile Cutlass... its one of the general's G-body cars in disguise!
I'm not sure of the exact year this body style came out, but my sister drove a 1979 Gran Prix that had it. (Her car actually carried a genuine Pontiac 301 V8, before GM stuck 'corporate' Chevy smallblock 305's in the whole lineup.) I know the 1977 g-bodies were quite a bit larger. So I'm pretty sure that this bodystyle came out in 1978 or 1979.
The body style was killed when these nameplates all went FWD in 1988. The FWD cars were built at different plants and the outdated assembly line ran on for a few months extra and a few RWD 1988 cars were produced... The most collectible probably being the last handfull of turbo V6 Buick Grand Nationals.
