RM Amelia Island preview with Enzo and Stratos and Geneva's supercars ...

Today, the official, two-day Amelia Island auction, staged by RM Sotheby's. To get you in the right mood, we have highlighted a pair of Italian sports cars that captured our attention. The earliest is this beautifully restored Lancia Stratos HF Stradale. It spent most of its life in Italy with two enthusiast who owned the car for a combined 30 years before it was sold to North America in 2015. The bright-blue Stratos HF Stradale is estimated to sell for $500,000 - 600,000.
Looking to top the sales is this low mileage Ferrari Enzo. It is offered from a 15-year spell in the Lingenfelter Collection. The next custodian will have to have around $3 million to spare to get his hands on this Enzo.
Rounding up our Geneva coverage, we today take a look at a couple of high performance supercars that would have been unveiled this weekend. Swedish company Koenigsegg was on good form with the mighty Gemera 2+2 and the low-drag Jesko Absolut. The Gemera is technical tour de force as it combines a mid-mounted three-cylinder that drives the front wheels with three electric motors. The combined output is a staggering 1,600bhp.
Other limited production cars launched this week include the minimalistic Aston Martin V12 Speedster, the track-ready Chiron Pur Sport and the all-electric Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne.
Although visually quite similar to the existing car, BAC have produced an all-new Mono. Among the major changes is found in the engine compartment where the naturally aspirated Ford four-cylinder engine is replaced by a cutting edge 2.3-litre, turbo-charged engine. Good for 332bhp, it gives the Mono an impressive power to weight ratio of 582bhp-per-tonne.
