Well, my issue is with the styling issues of going to smaller wheels. The VE SS runs 245 section tyres all round so they have plenty of grip, and on the GTS (those wheels) they run 275 section rears. US buyers had better hope that they don't go down size in section as well.
Any word on specs for these? Still running the 270kw L92 6ltr?
Actually I'm surprised to find that the V8 powered Commodore runs 245 section tyres. I find it very reasonable.
The fact that you mentioned 20" wheels made me worry about needlessly wide tyres. But as it turns out my worries were unnecessary.

I reckon we want that in Europe too...

Apparently, something simillar to the SS-V is coming towards the UK under the VXR8 nameplate...
-
It'd be even better as a Bonneville.
Pontiac has many well-regarded names in their past (Tempest, LeMans, Bonneville, Grand Prix, Ventura, Super Chief even... the list goes on), I fail to understand why they decided to switch to alpha-numeric designations.
-
Why'd they have to go and ruin it with that hood?
It actually looks good until I look at front.

We've long been criticised for producing under-tyred cars, but alot of people are conscious of the replacement costs for them.

It looks good. the front is over gaped but still......
Actually I'm surprised to find that the V8 powered Commodore runs 245 section tyres. The 275s on the HSVs can apparently control a 500hp supercharged LS2 quite well.

I really like the bootlid spoiler, looks v. nice

Americans are extremely badge concious to the point of rabid obsession and after the pathetic GTO badge shitfight I reckon GM would be mad to risk using any of their 'heritage' nameplates ever again on an imported Holden
-
definately. why would such a good product carry a US nameplate ;)
definately. why would such a good product carry a US nameplate ;)
Currently my favorite US badge is Lucerne
What a dumb name for a car! :D Why name a luxury Buick after a vegetable crop you feed to cows! Whats next the Chevy Alfalfa?

And yet they didn't hesitate to apply "Bonneville" to a front-wheel-drive mish-mash with more plastic add-ons than a room full of trophy wives. ;)
Also, rumor has it Bob Lutz wants to bring the Holden Ute over as a Chevrolet El Camino (another 'heritage' nameplate).
-
Methinks it won't be called the El Camino if they do so - something retarded that ends in R i think might just be on the cards.
Buick Lucerne :D it's only called that in Canada IIRC - because french-speaking canadians had a good chuckle at the first choice - LaCrosse :D
