I think the exposure's fine. It's probably a monitor thing.
It's not. It's a sensor's dynamic-range limitation.
There are different solutions for that:
- Fill flash
- Different angle, avoiding the sky
- Degradé filter
- Shoot at the best time of day (not possible in this case)
I still like the picture but we can't deny that problem.

Right, when you look at the sky and buildings or a car, it all appears evenly exposed, because our eyes have more dynamic range than a camera.
Don't forget HDR! Of course you can't use that in the competition, but it would fix over/under exposure problems, but here the best solution was probably fill flash

Thankfully I have it In RAW format as well, and will play with it some more in the future.

yeah, it's well composed, and I like the flare in it, but the underexposure bothers me, so play with it and lets see the result! :D

i think its a great shot and i dont think it NEEDS any editing, but could definately benefit from some tweaking. i hope u dont mind but i had a go at editing it how i would if it was my shot. it involved dodging the shadow side of car and the shadow, selectively adding some saturation to the front of the car, and burning the trees.
edit: also tweaked the whitebalance a tad.

SPHFerrari, your dodging is way too noticable. Esp around the right headlight were the red changes hue.
Here's a more even application.
