Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint headed for auction and lovely TZ ...

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, conventional auctions have been postponed or replaced with online-only sales. The latest addition to this fold is leBolide.com, established by French enthusiast Christian Philipsen. This is a platform that allows vendors to submit and sell their car in an auction environment. One of the first machines consigned is a great example of Alfa Romeo's 2600 Sprint. Built between 1962 and 1968, the 2600 Sprint features an all-alloy straight six engine and represented the top of the Alfa Romeo range. Chassis AR826030 was sold new to an Italian customer and has survived in the hands of the current custodian for 38 years in highly original condition. Offered at no reserve, bidding on the 2600 Sprint will close in the next two days.
In an Alfa Romeo state-of-mind, we have also taken a closer look at this TZ. Delivered new early in 1965, it was raced in minor events by its first two owners through to 1969. Following spells in Japan and The Netherlands, chassis 750081 is now in Swiss hands, and regularly raced in historic events.
