Agreed. I think this is a huge step forward towards automotive efficiency and essentially it accomplishes this by taking a huge step back. The beauty of this car is its simplicity: it doesn't have thermo-regulating breaks to cool and recharge the lithium-ion battery-powered electro-drive units; it doesn't need that. What makes this car an efficient people-mover is its minimalistic size and weight. This car is efficient for the same reason an old Mini Cooper was: it's small, lightweight, and doesn't require that much energy to move around--back to basics. [I]This[/I] is the Occam's razor to the question of automotive efficiency: "the simplest explanation is usually the correct one".

Parking - Smarts do nose in all the time over here.
It's the sensible way to park these too.
