Production GT-R50 by Italdesign, more on the Maserati MC20 and Alpina XB7 ...

Two years ago, Nissan and Italdesign Giugiaro announced a collaboration to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the iconic Nissan GT-R and Italdesign Giugiaro. A limited production run of 50 Italdesign bodied GT-Rs was announced and a first prototype was shown. Now, the first production GT-R50 has been revealed. It is based on the Nismo version of the GT-R, which houses a 710 bhp, hand-built version of the familiar twin-turbo V6 engine. In keeping with the theme, the GT-R50 is limited to just 50 examples and deliveries will start later this year. The car is not quite sold out yet, so you can get your own if act quickly!
Maserati, meanwhile, had a major release scheduled for Wednesday but this, sadly, had to be postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The car in question was the upcoming and highly anticipated MC20 mid-engined sports car. The launch has now been pushed back to the fall but Maserati did release some additional teaser pictures of the MC20 test car, which has been dubbed the Stirling Moss in memory of the former Maserati works racer, who passed away last month.
German BMW enhancer Alpina have worked their magic on the latest X7 to create the American-market-only XB7. It features BMW's well known twin-turbo V8 engine that produces around 600 bhp in this application. Alpina have also reworked the suspension and fitted the XB7 with an opulently appointed interior.
