Hi Friends,
I'm interested if anybody from all you can post the all races that start this FANTASTIC Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 AMG with 6.8 litre engine. I know only 24 hour SPa and 12 hour of Paul Ricard races.
THANKS !
For questions like this, there is an excellent database in Racing Sports Cars - Home Page.

Edit: looking at the pictures posted by Netburner, it is surprising to see how little the interior has been modified. All of interior trim is untouched, the huge rear seat is still there. The radio is gone though!

Just remember that the car in my pics is the works-Replica made by AMG. As far as I know it still isn't as powerful as the real racecar was, because it still only has 6.3 litres displacement. Also AMG decided to rebuilt the car with an automatic transmission, as the original 5-speed-gearbox in the racecar was combined with a very tricky race-clutch and the Replica is used in some Oldtimer events on german roads and has got an official german licenseplate, so it would be to hard to use the race-clutch at every trafficlight.

Its a real pity the M-B 6.3 and AMG 6.8 never got to share a racetrack with their respective (and most potent) mega-sedan opposition, the similar-era Ford Falcon GT-HO and the GT-HO Super Falcons.
Fwiw my pick would be the Fords to win, in most circumstance and by some margin - but what a fascinating spectacle it would have been!

Well the Merc was a token effort by small private team wasn't it? Against the full blown factory Fords it would've stood little chance.

I'm looking for the photos of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 AMG with 6.8 litre engine from 1971 & 1972 year.
Does anybody have a photos of these two races:

Welcome. Are you looking for historic pictures or pictures of the replica, as the original car does not exist anymore.
