The Scuderia was founded in 1939 by Enzo Ferrari, after he decided to leave Alpha Romeo and begin a team of his own, Originally Enzo Ferrari had only intended on building Formula 1 cars, but he was forced into the world of GT cars to make some money. Tell me do you know where the legenedary Prancing Horse emblem originated.
Actually that's incorrect, Scuderia Ferrari was founded in 1929, when Enzo was still with Alfa Romeo. Check out some old Alfa Romeo race cars, and you'll see the trademark prancing horse with the letters S F bellow it.
No my friend you are incorrect, the prancing horse was the logo of Enzo Ferrari and he put it on everything he raced, He drove for Alfa Romeo, the S F on the badge mean Scuderia Ferrari, which is Italian meaning Ferrari Stable, or in modern terms Ferrari Garage, this meant it was Enzo Ferrari's car but not his team, Alfa Romeo did not have anything to do with the Ferrari make. Enzo Ferrari did not start the Ferrari Brand untill 1939 when he formed his own team called Scuderia Ferrari, this is when the team was founded. I think you are confused, and thaught that that Ferrari was simply a body supplyer and Alfa Romeo made the engines, but this is incorrect, Alfa Romeo made everything, and it was not untill 1939 when Enzo Ferrari First built a body and engine.
Yes, Ferrari didn't build cars until 1939, however I'm talking about the racing team ~ Scuderia Ferrari, which was started in 1929. Here check out this link http://www.histomobile.com/histomob/presmark.asp?chat=13&lan=2
No I am sorry but this information is also incorrect, and I was not talking about the Road Cars, the Road Cars were first built in the 1950's the 166 Inter was the first road car. I have read on a wall at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello, that the Ferrari was founded in 1939, I stick to my word because it is correct. I would also like to tell you that Enzo Ferrari raced with the Prancing horse in the early 1910's this is when it first appeared on one his formula 1 cars, and this as you know was not a Ferrari it was an Alfa Romeo, I am a very proud Italian and Ferrari fan and I will continue arguing that I am correct. But I well let you think what you want to think, it does not matter to me.
hey fabio, do u think you could post your proof of ownership in users rides for your ferrari.
btw, your very forcefull and rude in your posts imo.
Hello, I am very sorry if I have been rude or forcefull, it is just that I am very passionate about Ferrari and Everything Italian, I did not mean to be rude at all, for those who I offended, I am sorry, and look for forgiveness. SPHFerrari I would like to know how you know I own a Ferrari, I would be happy to post pictures of my car, if so please tell me too.
I would also just like to say that I respect all of you alot, because your are all Ferrari Tifosi, so please lets stay on each others good side, because Ferrari is the best.
Forza Ferrari
I would also like to tell you that Enzo Ferrari raced with the Prancing horse in the early 1910's
It was toward the end of 1919 before Enzo raced in a CMN.
The Cavallino Rampante ( prancing horse ) was used by the Italian WW1 pilot Major Francesco Baracca as insignia on his plane in the early 10s through to his death in 1981. From the Ferrari history books a quote ...
Mr. Ferrari further indicated that the symbol
of the prancing pony was given to him by Contessa Paolina, Baracca's
mother, to "bring him luck". Ferrari accepted and only changed Baracca's
background to yellow to indicate Modena, his own home city."
Minor clarification of a great man and marque :)
umm, yea... you sorta told everyone in your profile.
My car:
Ferrari 365 GTB/4 - Rosso Corso
Matra et Alpine was correct, he hit it right on the head, good job. I did not know that there was someone here that was knowledgeable about Ferrari, you will have to add me to your MSN Messenger Matra et Alpine. Well SPHFerrari I will post a few pictures for you of my Ferrari. Hope you enjoy.
Fabio... I must say... your Ferrari is beautiful. Ferrari 365 GTB/4......
Of course... that is simply keeping with the tradition of all Ferraris... beautiful... powerful... and timeless. (not to mention... that gorgeous red :D )

Small little correction, there was no Formula one in the 1910's. Just thought I'd let ya know. :) However, I could be wrong on the information, website could be wrong. However it would be nice if you could back up your claims with proof.
Everything I know is in my head I dont have any proof lol, I wish I was able to back them up but I cant. I have read all Ferrari Literature and this is what I know.
Ok, not trying to sound like an a**hole or anything, but as my user name indicates I am a huge Ferrari fan as well. However I'm only 19 and continuing to learn more about everyday. By the way, what literature have you read, and do you know if this literature is available in the US.
Thank you
