Heidfeld once was McLaren test-driver right? Perhaps Mercedes-Benz would not mind getting a German in 'their' car.
AFAIK McLaren is buying BMW's F1 engine building bussiness, and apparently Mercedes-Benz will be concentrating furhter on Brawn, so it won't be "their" car anymore.

Doesn't Daimler still own 40% of McLaren though? I know there's been talks of moving the three-pointed stars from McLarens to Brawns but I don't see that's happening yet. Of course, things can change quickly in F1.
He was, but I don't know if they'd gain anything in replacing Kovalainen with him. And Glock's German too...
Replacing Barrichello, not Kovalainen  At least it's what I've heard.
Concerning BMW engines, yes, there have been rumours of McLaren producing both chassis and engines for their cars, not sure about 2010 though.
-
That would also help to explain me how did they come out with an in house developed engine for the MP4-12C.

There's a strong belief that Barrichello will be replaced by Rosberg (and possibly vice versa), so there's enough Germans for all teams involved. ;)
Although I'd rather see Jenson out of Brawn than Rubens, despite of how this season ends.

I guess things have cooled down quite a bit between Woking and Stuttgart, with the SLS being developed by AMG as well.

That for sure, what I didn't understand is how they managed to design an engine from scratch with no former experience in that field.
The engine right now is barely a prototype, as the car won't be sold until 2011 or late 2010 iirc, still it's their first attempt, and they are calling it a groundbreaking success.

It's not the same though, the BMW engine buying deal is still a rumour or waiting to completed, while the road going V8 has already desgined and is undergoing testing for full production.

I just saw the black eyed peas do a tire change on a force india. then they had a concert. speed channel is way too confusing right now, idk what to make of this...
Also, lindsay lohan is presenting the show (she looks like she just got off a 3-month coke binge)

Bruno Senna has signed a contract with Campos. Seemingly yesterday. Seems to be the end of my hopes to see Petrov next year :(

As expected, Williams has today announced their driver lineup for 2010, Rubens Barrichello will be joining Nico Hülkenberg. Waiting for an official confirmation...
Edit: here it is.

I've created this, a list of all confirmed entries for 2010 + Qadbak, but it probably contains a few errors (regarding car numbers for 2010 and perhaps which teams will be racing):
