this source would indicate that it is chassis 606, yet, the real 606 carried, and still does, RSF301 (the winner of that year).
601 (listed as ...301) is now owned by Ralph Lauren but always raced with 2CPG as the license plate.
It could be that the source is wrong, but I am curious to know which car is shown in your picture.
According to where I found it, 1957. But I'm not sure the source is entirely trustworthy.
The D is probably my favorite Jag, so I figured this thread was worth reviving. Sorry for any reposts.
