Nissan 370Z
Jaguar XJ (X351): Lightweight construction, clever new engines. And all wrapped up in a body that doesn't look from the 60's. The interior is also stunning.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212): A technological tour de force. Crammed with clever technology and clever new engines, desgined to use as little fuel as possible while still maintaining performance.
Subaru Legacy (5th gen): Yes, it has gone bland and ugly, but it still has that intrinsical engineering and driving factor. Despite everything it should still be UCP's favourite family car.
370Z
BMW 7 Series
Chevrolet Camaro

Those are technically 2008 cars.
Renault Laguna Coupe
Mercedes-Benz E-class
Ferrari 458 Italia
Citroen C3 Picasso
Jaguar XJ (with the new 3 litre Diesel engine)
Peugeot 5008
Jaguar XJ
The rest I haven't yet come up with, will do it later :)
Genesis Coupe
AM Rapide
Lexus LFA
I was hoping my list would be a little more realistic.
Genesis Coupe
Introduced at a car show in 2008 - arrived in the US in 2009.
Does this count? What the hell are the rules exactly?

my guess would be "on sale" in at least one market....(and yes, pre-ordering cases like the Enzo would complicate that, but we could change that in "delivery of the first car to the public")
I think COTY should be any car available in '09 just as COTD should be any car available in any of the years '00-'09.
(Though my COTY list doesn't reflect this.)

The Camaro was introduced in 2008 and could be preordered in 2008. But deliveries actually started in 2009. Where does that leave it?
I personally think it should be introduced in 2009. (And the same for COTD)
how about model yr of 2009 only?
MY is a concept that really only exists in the US, and mostly because it's constantly misused.
I would suggest the date of delivery is the date we should use.
