Its gold. People used to buy Opels rebadged as Astras and Vectras here in Australia but they were only pooey old Holdens. They have now re launched them as Opels thus making them European and immediately better quality than when they were Holden’s. Apparently panel gaps disappeared overnight. Many Australians are so stupid that they will now buy them because they are “European” and the ad has someone speaking in a faux German accent. They don’t need to do any repositioning here, FFS….
It is funny that everyone seems to want European cars... except Europeans.
Also, apparently next Alfa Romeos may or may not be built in Italy.
Or so has said Mr. Marchionne.

I wish this sentiment existed where I live regarding Audi's and BMW's. My bias may or may not have to deal with their erratic driving styles though.
Just to go back to the infographic up there, these are the parking costs for a new store in Sydney.

Top that!

Holy crap, those prices are ridiculous! You might as well move your car every hour then!
What is this place, a mall of some kind?
Herein lies the confusion.. Woolworths is a supermarket.. groceries and such. This new store with those parking charges is a "Woolworths Concept Store" .. which frankly seems more outlandish than the parking charges. Seems a great way to set the concept up for failure, unless the point is to ensure no plebs experience the concept.
As NSX's says you might as well park, unpark and repark every hour...
Here underground garages are about 2,50-3,50 € an hour.

Give me a break. What is the concept? They sell the same shit you can get everywhere else but in a smart arsed building? We are apparently getting parking fees at a shopping complex near my joint. It has no such pretensions but they will charge all the same. Just another reason for me to buy off the net.

weren't they Vauxhalls anyway? Just produce Vauxhalls in the UK with RHD and forget to switch the badges and you have an RHD Opel.
It turns out that they didn't really want the euro snob badge (and a massive price tag), did they? So much for this so-called premiumness that every car maker must now achieve for some reason...

No. They were Holdens. ;) Well at least until the front wheel drive Holden shit boxes became Daewoos.

seems I underestimated the average Australian car buyer. :D
Well, apparently there will be a BR-Z STi. Some sources say you can't fit a turbo, others say you can. I've seen aftermarket companies fit Toyota V8 engines, so I'm not sure why they couldn't if they really tried. But then again, I'm no expert at plumbing.
In any case, one of the biggest complaints may be resolved. I'm not sure if there will be a TRD GT-86.
