[quote=Matra et Alpine;966818]Forgot to add this one at the weekend ..
A completely ground up rebuilt Lotus Europa original Twin Cam.
This car was all but destroyed at hillclimb last year :(
All back to original race spec from the 70s.
As the owner said , "having rebuilt it to original I cant afford to race it" :)
He still won his class tho' !!!

I made a mistake before when I said the Elan was my least favorite Lotus, I had forgot about the Europa. WTF is up with the back end. that thing is hidious~! :)

You have to remember the styling era and the practicalities of keeping the back end down on a car so small and light :)
It is a REAL Lotus race car, just with all the usual Chapman issues and using a doughnut drive joint as a stressed suspension component was one use too far !!!!
Besides, there was the Eclat .... actually not bad in driving, but just naff 70s :) and boring looking (imho)
-
yeah i know of the Eclat, it reminds me of the Ferrari 308 Dino haha. but i like its styling better than the europa :)

Just saw my first new Nissan Micra, an I gotta say... I wasn't aware that you could really make the design worse, but that's what happened. The front end looks generic and exchangable, while the back is all kinds of wrong... just a bulbous mess garned with senseless creases.

A 3 cylinder supercharged petrol engine.
I think it runs on Miller's cycle (not sure though).

Ferrari 212 Vignale Coupe, 1 of 1

I'm really looking foward to tomorrow... I'll make a feature about a vintage car/motorbike rallye in our region for the radio station where I'm working which means that I'll be driven around in cool pre-war sports cars :3
I will, of course, take a lot of photos for you. Wish me luck (if I screw this up, my boss won't be happy :D)!

Don't remember me -.- I stopped working there because they didn't pay me enough while constantly working overtime under completely unfair conditions. Apart from that, I need to get practice in media-related work because that's required for the studies I want to do :).
I can say already that it's MUCH better than my previous job, although I don't get much money there, either... but screw that. I like this job, but I will only do it until my studies begin (should be in October).

Just seen a Caterham 7, looked very nice. My dads Hyundai iload van came today, such a nice van to drive, it looks great, i'll upload some pic of it in the next few days.
