Yep, they do have a standard definition. I think it's ~100, but i'm not sure.

Can anyone else verify the claim of the 928?
Thanks.
Just one of the things that utterly confused me. 928 set the FIA speed(from Wikipeda) record but the AMZagato was verified by a mag. Now which one do I trust?
Does 9ff even meet the emmission norms? Remember, there is no RUF CTR yellowbird on this list....how do you distinguish a tuned car from a production one?
If I put new seats and a new audio-system...
They even removed the side mirrors.
I like the 928 GTS more because it looks really good. Just like a land shark.
Whoa! you need to correct me first...notice that the Avanti was as fast as the Daytona!
So,How the hell did the Daytona create a record?!??!!
9ff seems to be a tuned Porsche so it doesn't qualify as a production car.
There seems to be a lot of controversy about the Veyron...why doesn't everyone check Guiness in the first place?:D
Hi fleet, nice to see you back.
The Daytona can't go on this list because I coudn't find any independent tests to verify this claim. I remember a issue of Motortrend waaaaay back carrying a report...
Which one of these grand-tourer cum supercar would you prefer?
BMW 850CSi
V12 5576 cm³ Alusil
375.49 hp
405.60 lb/ft
928 GTS
Engine displacement: 5.4 L
Valves: 32
A week ago, I set out to make a comprehensive Record Holder's list, however there have been several confusing as well as contradictory statements. So, I need your help in improving this list which...
But what if Porsche Design were taking their inspiration from Mr. Bangle( )?
btw, nice observation.
The pics I saw at Autoblog and Autospies just do NOT contain any BMW wagons.
The Autoblog spy pics don't even vaguely represent a BMW wagon to me.
The overall shape of the car will remain the same, no matter how much camo is put onto it (w/the exception of the rear wing), as IWantAudiRS6 pointed out in the ferrari test mule photo.
The only...
That pic from AutoBild was just cool:D.
Personally i expected better from Michael Mauer (Cayman) than Harm Lagaay (Cayenne). But MikeMauer let us down...:(
Most people won't.
Nobody's going to pay $130,000 for a 300-hp, 3600+lbs car with 4 doors, 4 seats that looks this BAD.
The pricing is in the $125,000-175k range.
It has to be better than the $155k DB9 both in terms of looks and power output. Not to mention the Merc SLs.
It could be a friggin' kit-car or a juiced-up FIAT X1/9.
Somehow, it looks like a hybrid between Dino and Daytona.
Wait a min...., it could be a FIAT Dino coupe.
EDIT: Make a image scearch on...
Another Bugatti competitor:
http://www.gizmag.co.uk/go/6177/
10-litre V12,
850bhp and 737 lbs-ft of torque.
Weight of 2899 lbs
Top speed in the 225-230 mph range
Completely agreed. SUV just sell like hot-cakes. Lambo and Maser aare all planning suvs, and they WILL arrive in next 2 yrs.
Who's next ?
Jaguar?
Aston-Martin?
Ferrari?
Saleen?

If Porsche wants to make suvs/trucks/sedans so...
Why make a Porsche station wagon??
Besides, the next-gen Cayenne is going to look like a wagon.
Street racing is totally foolish sp. in city limits.
I've heard a lot about racing on deserted roads, and its usually safer, but anything can happen..... Like me, i SERIOUSLY wrecked my Pontiac...
Excuse me, but what was your point?
