I see your point but I wouldn't want to drive it off a track for the very reason it doesn't have a body. I would pick the Elise, Caterham and the Shelby AC Cobra.Originally Posted by Coventrysucks

Tempted to vote MX-5 but is missing essential sportscar trait: speed. Voted Lotus Elise.

Being nice since 2007.
I'd vote for either a BMW CSL, Ferrari 360 CS, Porsche GT3 RS, Caterham 7 Evo 500, Lotus Elise 111R, the already mentioned Nobles and TVRs etc. etc. etc.
When I think pure sportscar, I think something that puts lightweight, high-power and dynamics before anything else.
All of the above should do quite nicely as track-cars that you can use on the road.

Rob Walker's Ferrari 250GT SWB won the the 1000 km BOAC race in 1960. The driver was Sterling Moss. He later mentioned how the on board radio kept him amused during an otherwise boring driveOriginally Posted by scottie300z

THey've all got windscreens hell even windscreen WIPERS
If you're going for "pure" then at most it shoudl be a small wind deflector !!!!

I gotta say it's the Nissan 350Z.
