bingo....There was one at the RM auction in Monterey in 2005

this is a 1959 version fitted with a 2.6 BMW Alloy V8, giving about 150 BHP. It is rumoured to be one of or the last built under the management of Anthony Lago.

There you go again with your outstanding photos btw...do you have any pix of the Allard Palm Beach, the Ferrari 340 America and the Ghia bodied Alfa 1900?

the Palm Beach is the Coupe IIRC, and I have never seen that. I got many 340 Americas so you have to be more specific. Is the Ghia Alfa the Ghia Aigle?

To me it looks like a meld of an Austin Healey 3000 (Front), AC Cobra (Rear arches), Mercedes 300SL (Side) and a Volvo P1300 from "the Saint". In all, that makes for quite the eye candy

I was referring to the ones that were on the auction block at RM's this summer. But thanx for the Ghia Aigle bodied 1900

are you sure there was one at RM? The only Alfa I took was this humble P3, and unfortunately I had no flash...

and finally a very poor one on the 340 America, again with no flash avaible, so the aperture fooled me.
