Therefore never grabbing any top drivers to join the team. It just seems that somehow japanese motorsport has never really cracked it in F1 for a number of reasons. But I'd rather see sauber remain in the sport than toyota i have to say. So this is probably good news.

Hmmm...I beg to differ.Toyota may not have gone well in F1 but Honda dominated in the 80`s and 90`s.

I hope I got the math correct on this one. Below are the point standings based on the "modern era" scoring systems back to 2002. I felt it relevant to only go back to 2002 since there are still a couple of drivers who competed at that time. (MS & RB). I'm not sure if anyone even considers this important, but here is the different scoring systems as they would relate to the 2010 finishing positions with still one race to go.

    Formula 1 Driver Standings 2010 (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1) 2009 (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) 2002 (10-6-4-3-2-1)

In today's news: Marussia has acquired a 'significant' amount of Virgin shares and will start building up its own team on Virgin basis - 2011 entry is supposed to become Marussia Virgin Racing.

Together with their plans to run in 2011 Le Mans it looks like a rather serious attempt to enter motorsport from a company which everyone still knows not too much about.
