I know about the model years, but I can't be bothered. We are still in 2010, aren't we?
As for 'Stangs in Yurop, I've seen some 2010 facelifted models, but still with the 4.6 litre engines.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
That's my point; the 2010 got the facelift, but not the new engines. Those didn't come until the 2011 was launched. If you see a facelifted S197 with a 4.6, it's a 2010, guaranteed. If you see it with a 5.0, it's a 2011.
And yes, even though this is the year 2010, the 2011 could be ordered in late March 2010 with delivery in April, just like the 2010 before it entered the market early 2009.
While the 2010 and 2011 do look the same, there are differences, eg. single vs. dual exhaust on the V6, different emblems and so on. There are also new special editions, eg. the MCA edition V6, and the new GT/CS, both of which have different bodywork.
It's a technicality, I agree, but it is what it is.
Turning money into memories.
My 2010 was unveiled at the end of 2008, to add a bit of confusion.
