Wait, what does Mitsubishi make that's good enough for a 2 door platform? Tell me it's not the Eclipse, that overweight piece of crap.

It won't be RWD without some engineering, at least. With 550 HP, it better be RWD, if not AWD.

There is no word what it will be based on exactly, we may only speculate right now...

I think it will be touch screen on the streeting wheel ("handlebar" is Google translation for "руле")...

I worry that it will be overly heavy for the kind of sports car they're going for, also I think they need to chop about 6 inches off the back. Other than, its good looking, and the performance features don't sound bad.

3000GT is the GTO right? (that's what I assumed from the way they were talking) TTV6 sounds very VR4ish too. I dunno, anyone ever driven a Russian Sports car, or even heard of one before? lol.

A little more info (most of it has already been said):
A new coachbuilding company in Russia called E-Go has come up with a new car built on a Mitsubishi platform. Called Revolt, by E-Go, we don't find it the least bit offensive, although we do think the rear end is a little funky. The Revolt -- in spite of the company's catchy name and word "volt" lurking around in there -- is not electric. Rather, a 3.0-liter V6 gets two turbos slapped on to run some 550 hp through a six-speed gearbox. It has an active air suspension and rides on 19-inch wheels from Japanese wheel company Work, with 325/30 rubber out back. Stopping power should be prodigious, thanks to six-piston calipers up front and four-pots in back.

Most interesting, the car's electronics are being developed by engineering firm National Instruments, and you will be able to control them all via a touch screen monitor in the steering wheel. We can't wait to see what that steering wheel must look like, and whether they can make the car drive for you while you punch in new data. Word is that E-Go "has already started building cars," but as usual, we'll wait and see.
A newly-formed Russian coach builder named E-Go is apparently hard at work on their first offering, and the little Russki brand we've never heard of is aiming high. They're supposedly building themselves a sports car and naming it the E-Go Revolt. Precious little is known about the platform they're basing it off of other than it's Mitsubishi in origin. But, we've deduced from the automaker's claim that it will sport a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6, the car is likely built off the 1993-1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Not a whole lot of other cars from the diamond-triumvirate-branded automaker fit that bill. That engine, E-Go claims, is pumped up to 550 HP and mated to a six speed manual. So when's it going to be out?
