    Beck Engineering LM800

    Designed for Performance

    The Beck LM 800 is based on the philosophy that exceptional performance can only be achieved thanks to the lightest possible vehicle weight. It is also important to keep the drag coefficient (cw value) low and and the cross-sectional area small. It has been possible to achieve these outstanding values in combination with a specially produced and exceptionally high-performance MTM V8 engine. Borrowing from nature and the use of solutions from Formula 1 have resulted in a headstrong design orientated exclusively towards performance and optimal driving characteristics.

    Technology

    The bodyshell and central monocoque are made of the latest composite materials, such as Kevlar which ensures the necessary stability and optimal protection. Parts that come under extreme stress are manufactured of high-strength aluminium alloys, with as few weld seams as possible. Virtually all the suspension parts are milled out of solid pieces and screwed together. The electronically controlled active chassis is responsible for optimal road-holding and the built-in pneumatic lift system makes tyre changing child’s play.

    Drive system

    The engine is a V8 model especially produced for the Beck LM 800 with a displacement of 4.2 litres which, thanks to two turbo-chargers, delivers a performance of around 650 HP to the drive shaft. The drive unit is designed in such a way that even acceleration is achieved across the entire range up to a top speed of over 350 kph. The semi-sequential 7-speed gearbox is perfectly co-ordinated with the Beck LM 800 and reacts without any delay.

    Equipment

    The basic version of the Beck LM 800 deliberately dispenses with any special conveniences in order to give the feeling of a pure sports car.
    Standard features include tinted windows, opening side windows, a high-quality belt system, individually adjustable seats, the latest instrumentation, driver’s airbag and the option of a floor-mounted gear change or rocker switch changes on the steering wheel. On request, individual components from the luxury version (LM 820) can be incorporated into the basic version at extra cost.

    In the case of the luxury version, the following equipment is included in the purchase price. A precise price will be quoted once we are aware of individual customer requirements.

    * Air-conditioning system • Hi-fi audio system
    * Satellite navigation system
    * Anti-theft system
    * Keyless badge
    * Free choice of colour and material for seat covers
    * Engine preheater
    * Auxiliary heating

    Optional at extra cost

    * Electric side windows
    * LCD monitor (can be used as TV)
    * Additional airbags (passenger, side)

    Interesting weight and size figures. Such a shame that it is ugly and doesn't have a proper manual.

    The car looks horrible on the concept sketches. It looks kinda strange in reality. Oh well, I don't mind, it's a performance monster.

    The more I see of this car, the more convinced I am that I was right the first time I saw it and that I didn’t like it very much. Honestly, with all the Hypercars out there on the market it’s going to have to look better than this!
