    Getting married in October

Any tips besides jumping out of it before it's too late?
Would it be possible, to play forever?
The conclusion reached was that a player is inevitably doomed to lose.

Make sure "let him have whatever sports car he wants" is in the wedding vows

Three words: "prenuptial" and "separate accounts". Congratulations!

Seriously, congrats... this November we'll celebrate 30 years, and having a prenup and separate accounts is one reason for lasting that long, even in tough times. Neither party have reason to be fearful when entering a marriage that honestly.

    Congratulations!

I got married about a year and a half ago. I recommend you just say "yes" to everything your fiance wants to do wedding and honeymoon wise. You may be a part of the planning of this wedding for the next few months...but she has been planning this thing for HER ENTIRE LIFE!

So just sit back, relax, let her do everything, and just have some fun with it. Keep a smile on your face and make the best of everything!

I'm fine with my car already, already got the prenup and separate accounts.

We'll spend our honeymoon in Cancun. I hope no hurricane blasts by while we're around.

I understand a prenup if you have accumulated a great deal of property prior to marriage but for those of you espousing "separate accounts" why do you guys prefer that?

my wife and I dont have a prenup and we dont have separate accounts. Of course it wasn't a big deal for us because we both didn't have much before we got married anyway.

See i think if my wife and I had separate accounts we would probably still meddle in each other's finances.

If she comes home with a 1000$ purse I would raise hell about it whether it was all her money she spent on it or "our" money. Simply because shouldn't "we" be making the best decisions financially for "our" future?
