According the documents I have read SPF's GT40 height can vary from 39.5 to 40.5 inches. It depends on ride heights and tires. Also, the same data I have read said the SPF GT40 is .5" wider.

Nice machine but in person the body proportion is horrible compared to the real GT40's.

The particular car featured in the article is a MkII. and it is an exact copy of that model. You're probably thinking of the MkI which is more aesthetically pleasing to some. Superformance is now making MkIs too. The following is a link with pictures:

In fact, the current Ford GT is based on the MkI. However, the MkII is historically significant because it was the first version of the GT40 to actually win at LeMans.

Also, the MkI rear body work appears more sleek and streamlined. The rear area of the MkII was enlarged to accomodate a 427 c.i. big block. The 427 would not fit under the MkI body work. This even hold true with the replica. If you order a MkI you cannot use a 427.

Sorry if I cannot express myself correctly, but I don't know English as good as I want, so my answers will probably be the same in many cases.
