However, I'd like to know how Honda did in the race.

Unfortunately, Speed Channel had it on real late last night and after ALMS I was shot.
Apparently very badly. You can read Jack's review in the other Grand Prix thread.

    Honda did horribly, especially Button.
Ferrari were always gonna be the fastest and will be until McLaren get used to Bridgestone tyres. I do, however, hope Raikkonen fails miserably however good a driver he is and however much i liked him. The reason? Him and Massa stand between McLaren and a drivers championship.

Driver of the day? Lewis Hamilton, that boy's amazing and only didn't get 2nd place because Sato didn't get his Super Aguri-drivin ass out of the way. Even Alonso admitted that he was lucky. I'm rooting for Lewis Hamilton - obviously - and hope McLaren get both championships.

Also, did anyone see Ron Dennis afterwards? He was holding back the tears and when asked if he was proud he replied with "you could say that." That just makes him even more of a geezer in my eyes, well done McLaren

I'm surprised McLaren finished 2nd and 3rd given Kimi's past experience with them.

I watched the race and I was very glad to see Kimi take the win. A real nice first race for him.

I have to agree with .M.'s assesment. I think Kimi is the fastest out there and he rightfully deserves his shot at the WDC with a competent car. I'm a little confused by your comparisson of Kimi to Michael and Michael to Ayrton though... Can you clear that up?

After Senna died Shumi became the man to beat, and now that Shumi is gone Kimi has become the man to beat.

I don't know, Kimi will do well to beat Micheal and his Scudo.

Easy for Kimmi in his Brava KR edition!

    Harrumph...

I just *thought* that I didn't like a dominant Schumi. The idea of a dominant Kimi is enough to drive me bats. However, I have great hopes for Lewis Hamilton who is not only very talented, but is also bold rather than just being an "Iceman." I never thought I'd cheer for a McLaren -- at least since Senna drove for them, but anything is better than Kimi.

i think its a fair result. Kimi deserves the win, unlucky for massa. Mclaren seem to be quite solid so far. Lewis Hamilton was great in his 1st race. I hope ferrari improve their reliability, then we will see a good fight between ferrari and mclaren for the titles.

on the other hand, bmw definatley improved alot whilst renault form looks dissapointing.
