    VW Scirocco

What does everybody think of the VW scirocco, I kind of like the design of the car looks very unique and looks like it is going to be the next generation in cars.

Purely talking about the looks; I don't like it. The front is okay but the rear is just not doing it for me. Not that it's bad but I don't think Scirocco when I see it. Then again, who am I to judge VAG's engineers and designers.

1st or 2nd gen for me. This Golf'esque hatchback rear is not cutting it.

I quite like it, altough I don't understand why does it have to wider than the Golf.

Interesting version of physics on your planet!

How will making it wider lower the centre of gravity?

The design doesn't look so bad from the front. .but I'dont really like the rear end too. But there's an other point: it seems to me, that the original version in the showroom at the dealer isn't as low as all the picture show it...

In the inside the car looks good designed but the materials look a bit cheap especially if you've got the black leather. The two separate seat on the rear look good, but that's also the only thing what you see in the rear view mirror. The boot is big enough, but the opening is so small it's almost impossible to load it.

Finally the car is just to expensive. Ok, it costs the same as a Golf (wich is also to expensive in my opinion...) It's probably also (..or just...) as good to drive but it's far less usable as a Golf...

I'd buy one over a GTI. Or a R... Just give me three pedals.

comparing the 3 door Golf and the Scirocco, yes, comparing the two versions of the Golf, no.
but considering the average Golf's buyer is kinda conservative, I suppose even the Scirocco is a little to much for him.

Well the 3 door Golf is more practical than a Scirocco and cheaper than the 5 door Golf I guess this is where it falls.

And there's always the GTI and the fact that you can never go wrong with the Golf.

To be fair, having a wider car allows you to move more components to a lower plane (such as they did with the Humvee.) Not saying that's necessarily the case here, but it can happen.

If they sold this car in the US I think I'd like VWs a whole lot more.
