    Cadillac CTS - V--- What a doll

This evening, on my way to an appointment, I saw for the first time with my own two Nissan eyes, a silver metallic Cadillac CTS-V. I beleive the ride was a 2009 or 2010 version. It was a beautiful and well made Sedan. It looked great.

From the front, this car's engine rattled and had a really impressive growl to it. The other car with such a rattle, which i have seen up close before, is the BMW M5. The exhaust note was exceptional--better than the exhaust note of a Dodge Charger SRT-8. The exhuast note unmistakeably sends the message---I am powerful. If you ever buy this car, you will constantly have the cops on your a$$ all day long, waiting to nail you for speeding or racing.

The Cadillac CTS-V is a beast---beautiful and powerful. This car rocks. This is the only fine sedan i could consider buying from GM, inspite of my infinite anger at GM management.

Did you take him down to your private track? Did you smash him? C'mon don't hold out on the details.

I wish I did--it would certainly spank me. The CTS - V is an eye candy.

If you buy a Cadillac here they'll all laught at you and think you are lunatic. Maybe that's because nobody buys one.

    What a shame.

I like the looks, and hasn't it lapped the nurburgring faster than any 4 door saloon?

According to reviews though the interior is typical American junk and the ride with break your spine.

Germans break your spine too, and the Caddy is cheap and comes as a manual.

I don't recall any reviews claiming a cheap interior. Motor Trend said it wasn't as nice as the MB E63 interior. Well $30k has to get you something.

I also don't know where the idea of the stiff ride comes from. Top Gear made claims about the stiff riding Corvette with a heavy clutch pedal. They were full of it. The Corvette rides as well as any Miata I've driven (minus the Miata's shakes and quivers) and the clutch pedal weight is similar to my Mom's Accord. Then again the hamster is a small guy. I'm not sure how he pushes the clutch in his Charger.

I love the new style of Cadillacs. Goes to show that "underdogs" can come back with a bang.

I quickly thought about buying the first generation CTS-V. Insurance thought it would be cool to rape me though.

The CTS-V coupe looks like a hemorrhaging tumour though.

I think the rattle may have been coming from the flywheel and clutch system. Maybe the CTS-V uses a dual mass flywheel, which tends to rattle, at least in my G35, it does.

However, the driver of the car was shifting as nicely as he could, and I could tell that he was doing all he could to stay legal in terms of motion (speed) and sound (exhaust note). I had no doubt that the CTS-V is a difficult car to drive gently and normally. I have a feeling the driver of the CTS-V felt tortured driving normally. The CTS-V is a beast. It was love at first sight for me. If i don't get the Nissan GTR, then i shall surely consider the Cadillac CTS-V.

Any owner of the CTS-V is going to drive like a criminal, at some point. The car is just a ticket attractor. The Nissan GTR surprisingly, and in my opinon, looks more subdued than the CTS-V. The CTS-V is a sedan on roids.
