F1 driver market is clearing up

With Mark Webber signed at Red Bull Racing the next announcement due will be the signing of Heikki Kovalainen as Giancarlo Fisichella's team mate at Renault. There are already reports in Finland that this has happened and that would make sense given that the driver market is now on the move. The young Finn says that he is sure that he will race next year.

i cant believe webber has left for red bull. Williams may not have done so well this year but it holds much more promise than red bull. Especially with toyota joining forces with williams next year. bad move..

    And now for some speculation:

The link below presents some facts that may be leading to the conclusion that Schumacher retires at the end of the season. It is not fact in any way, but the opinions stated seem logical.

Not necessarily, don't forget that Christian Horner is very committed to F1. Also, Red Bull will have either Renault or Ferrari engines next year. Also, next years car is being designed by Adrian Newey (if you don't who is, Google him). So next year (on paper anyway) the RBR team is looking to be very strong.

I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Agreed. Williams next year will be another lean year, and their biggest upturn in performance will probably be as a result of the low cost rules which are still a year away. They should improve from '06 performance, but Red Bull holds more promise.

Kind of sad to see JV go. I know he had his share of notorioty, but I still believe given the right equipment he could take on the best.

Heard rumors of him going to NASCAR.

    Webber To Red Bull Racing!

Just read in my paper Webber is off to RBR in 07, They will also use the same Renault V10 as Renault next year, They have money to spend the article said.

I'm not sure if it's a good move for Webber? Apparently they are trying a no name at Renault next year and not Webber go figure?

Webber expects them to be competitive enough but realistically they wont challenge for the title.
