Another thing nobody has mentioned is cooling, do you have a radiator for the RB and can you source replacements when one leaks?

Doing the V8 swap would be the way to go imo.

You should read the essay I'm writing right now about swaps. I'm writing it specifically for UCP (I think it should be a sticky in the Tech forum, since these threads are becoming more and more common.).

It's scary enough to make me never want to open my engine bay again. (Gimme a few minutes, I'm almost done.)

LOL, I can't wait. Unfortunately I have to get ready for a birthday dinner (not mine). I'm already late actually, if this site weren't so damn addicting.

There has to be a book or an actual technical forum out there that can help you, or maybe even a fricking TV show (If you get the DIY Channel (So It Yourself) they have a lot of lame programming.

Technical forums are a great idea. The more books he reads, the better. At the minimum, though, he needs copies of a good shop manual for both cars. Preferably the ones the dealers get.

You should invest your money in a new car... given that you have so much of course. I hope Quiggs' article has turned you off.

What do you think prompted me to write it?

I give up on this thread. You guy's are about as much help as Chopsticks are to someone drinking soup.

    Thanks!

They told you the basics: get the shop manuals for both cars, go to dedicated forums for the two cars/engines, read up, have lots of money/time ready, get new mounts/wiring/ecu/etc. You're just angry because they broke it to you the hard way.
