    Car System Forum ?

I was thinking that UCP could add a Car System forum where people can post pics of there cars sound system and post info on whats best buy on subs and amps and post info on car systems. It would be a good forum to check out other peoples ideas of how they did there cars system or even just to ask people about what kinda subs, amps, or other speakers they should get for a certain amount of price so they know what they should be looking for when they go shopping.

anyone else think this is a good idea ?
Post what you like or dislike about this idea or even add your ideas that you think wud make this forum idea better !

I think that wouldnt have much talk .. have a car customising section though and I think that will be a good idea. Could talk about sound systems and engine modifications along with cosmetics .. I quite like that idea. Could maybe split it into sub-forums too.

I'm not sure if ucp has enough members with aftermarket audio systems to create good discusions but exiges modification to the idea sounds good.

I welcome any new forum. It will give people a chance to show off what they are proud of. So in my opinion I think it is a good idea.

I think when I posted in the technical forums then, it must've been on the UCP mainpage when it says the most recent threads. Still .. caught me out there

It is possible , and indeed neccessary to employ a subwoofer in a car to achieve a decent level of bass without it sounding like a mobile rave. Because of the size of a cars cabin it makes it impossible to reproduce accurate deep bass as the waves are longer (like 30 ft or so) than the length of the car. Therefore by accentuating the deepest signal that you can reproduce can give the impression of deep bass. So in reality your "sub" which may be capable of reproducing 40hz or so in the correct enlcosure can do no such thing in a car. Technically it is not a subwoofer as they are generally used to reproduce frequencies below 40hz.
So, I a 41 year old dinosaur, run a sub in my car but adjust it so I canhear the rest of the frequencies as well. A novel approach.
