I guess M3's are okay cars. Not my kind of cars, but if you're gonna compromise a sports car and a somewhat luxurious car, the M3's about as good as you're gonna get. Just pray you never have to work on it.

I'd rather just have a straight up sportscar and a real luxury car as opposed to making compromises, myself.

then i'd likee to see an M3 CSL versus a RS4, i reckon it would be a pretty tough battle. if we are comparing top of the range sports cars then nothing audi build would be able to beat an M3 GTR.

The M3 gets a V8! BMW is offering a road going version of the M3 GTR. During development, BMW designed the strassenversion as close to the ALMS GTR as possible. Although many details have still not been released, BMW claims a horsepower rating anywhere from 350 to 450 HP. The new 4 litre compact V8 fits well within the E46 engine bay. The powerplant is also pushed very low within the engine bay to offer a low center of gravity.

The use of carbon fibre body sections and lightweight materials keep the GTR in & around 3000lbs. This puts the car almost 500lbs lighter than the standard M3.

A limited run of road going GTR's are planned to be sold around February 2002. Each one will be hand built by BMW's M division.

well, i am willing to bet the CSL would beat the RS4.

on a track, yes, I dont think in a straight tho. The RS4 understeers too much, but I dont know about the new RS4, remember that the old one is from 1999, that's 5, almost 6 years old. But we'll see what the next RS4 is gonna bring us. I know it will have at least 425 hp, but that doesnt say much in corners, so we gotta wait and see .
