i think because from an aussie point of view its no longer a monaro. from an american point of view its more GTO.

i realise they had to freshen up the monaro, they just could've done it better, not just cut costs and use the american styling

Well the new bodykit alone wouldve done that at least as far as the front styling goes. I think they messed up a bit with having so much black in the rear bumper

That is sad all the munro needs is big wheels and lower ride height,I dont even like the spoilers on the HSV's version.The back and front end is hideous and dont get me started on those f--king scoops

Call me a ricer but I don't mind the 'scoops.

However the amount of plastic on the new Monaro is despiccable!

And to think a couple of years ago, we all though the US deal for the GTO was nothing but a good thing

Problem with the US is if it has no scoops,spoilers,f--king GTO in the rear bumper its classed as bland,the Munro will get a little bit more Americanised every update,till we cant recognise it any more

Maybe 2007 will be a godsend when they can finally design their own with hopefully no effect on us
