    The Ultimate Daily Driver.

    Ok Criteria is:

    Reasonably economical
Enough space for family and luggage.
    Fast and fun to drive.
    Reliable.

I'd say probably a Volvo V70R. Hugely spacious, very fast and fun, reasonably economical, and plenty of reliability.

And with that put into the picture your a wanker.

Personally ill pick a local ford for this a TX3 laser thier awd, thier fun, I think in a dark colour they look pretty good) no great ammounts of room but thier most certainly ecconmical and be picked up for 3,000 for a reasonble non turbo example....turbo charged examples can be seen from $8,000 for a clean on to $11,000for an immaculate one, alsobein a nzer you have the optionof looking for the mazda model as well and more then likly find grey import ones for decent prices

I think the XR8 fits the bill nicely. Touch over $50K, 260kw/500nm, low 14 second quarter mile times, great handling, 5 seats/4 doors, fairly large boot for the practical side of things, smooth, comfortable ride thats also tuned to hold its own through corners.

It gets the nod cause its more the tourer compared to the XR6T being more the racer of the duo with the lower weight, better balance

thank for making this thread, where the requirements are exactly what my car meets:

    Fast: close to 200 kph
Economical: average fuel consumption 16 km per litre
Spacious: Seats four in great and five in relative comfort
    Enough luggage space
Unrivalled comfort due to hydropneumatic suspension

Long live the Xantia Break 2.0 HDi (now on 215000 km's)

if u like a V70R u probably wont mind me picking an Audi S4, preferable the 2003 one, I still think that one looks the best. I like both sedan and avant, just depends on how many kids I will get.

The 2005 Subaru Liberty GT (AKA Legacy B4 in some countries). It's around AUD$50000, has close to 200kW, was voted car of the year in Japan, looks awesome, drives awesome and has the best safety rating for its class. You can't lose.

I'll second that motion, albeit in its two door form, cos I don't have kids or fussy friends.
