    Smart. Ugh.

Most disappointing...Chevy Equinox, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Aveo, Nissan Quest, and any Mitsubishi.

Forgot the Smart, that's quite bad too.

EDIT And the Abarth 500. Very bad too.

(I can't believe there's no Audi in my list...)

Haven't driven an Abarth, but the regular 500 was a cheery, if unrefined, drive. I quite liked it.

Out of the Mitsubishis I drove, BTW, the worst was the Galant. I was working the rental car counter at the time and felt the need to apologize to customers when I would give them one. It felt so cheap and unsubstantial; too bad as its driving characteristics weren't that bad. They could have kept the chassis the same and simply updated the interior and NVH and had a half-decent offering.

Any Cadillac. Horrible. Like trying to drive a boat on the road.

I have only driven a CTS V6...it had some definite faults to be sure, among them feeling a bit heavy, but I couldn't honestly describe it as boaty or floaty.

The "boaty and floaty" is from the days of driving my grandparents armada of Cadillac's from way back. God, were they bad.

Honestly, I appreciate a car like that. Today's Cads aren't so much that way. The ATS is apparently a superb automobile, but I have not had seat time in one. The CTS I drove was a 2011 with a V6. Didn't feel terribly quick, although the motor picked up as it gained revs, made the car feel heavy. Good exhaust note, if a bit too muffled for a gearhead's taste. Also the interior felt hemmed in, back seats were small considering the size of the car outside. Handling felt a little heavy again but had plenty of grip. Lastly some of the interior bits felt, well, cheap, but it made a good impression visually. Other than that felt reasonably capable and looks good. Value for money...I liked the Infiniti M35 better.

The 1987 Chevrolet Blazer remains the only car I've ever felt I would die in.

Then there was that Honda CRV that was absolutely filthy with essence of dog. Thanks, last person who drove that car...
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

The Abarth had a bouncy ride, artificial steering, no handling and an impossible gearbox.

But worst of all was there was no drama, no excitement. No exhaust noise or I want to kill you antics.

One of the biggest disappointments ever for me.

Hm, yeah, that would be kind of a bummer.

Well my first car was a 1963 EK Holden which was pretty ordinary so that’s in the running but it was also the oldest so it had an excuse. I have driven an old VW Beetle and that was awful. It gets more points because some people like my mate think it’s a classic and therefore give it some special rating. I drove a Peugeot 1990 something 206 and that was pretty terrible. A 1978 Ford escort my wife had sucked. Two Datsun 180Bs we owned were crap. I guess the most disappointing given the hype was a 2006 Mazda 6. After all I heard about them it was vary over rated. So hard to choose!

My Mom's Beetle was rather craptacular too...as a car it was OK, largely because of the 1.8t it had as well as some supportive seats, but it rode terrible and handled top-heavy. That didn't doom it to craptaculardom though...it was all of the visits it took to the shop in 48k miles that really made it bad.

Worst car I drove is a Fiat Idea, because of the horrible automatic transmission.

Whenever you would hit the gas it revved like crazy in such a way I would believe the vehicle would explode.

And I believe the brakes were cross-drilled ventilated Brembo's, as with the slightest touch my nose hit the windshield.

Luckily I only had it one day.
