Accidents happen due to several factors and not only the car's handling. It could have been some idiot in a hurry or simply a bad driver.

Probally the 90 year olds they let drive around here.

the m5 is powerful and fast and all........but for a performance car, A) i really like what caddilac has been doing lately, this car specifically, and B) why would i want a performance car, that is partially known for having so much technology it can almost drive itself? really, a few things like traction control are ok, but as much as bmw sticks in most of their cars? JEEZ!!!!! my friends dad has a 530i, which is nice, but as a performance car id HATE it. not too mention, i HATE how bmw has so much sound dampening. its ok for luxury induced buyers, but for performance, i want to hear a mighty engine growling, not a slight hum in the background.

Well then the M5 might be the wrong car for your needs.
Just as you said it's for luxury induced buyers who still don't want to miss the performance of a race car.

no matter what, your always gonna get biased answers. depends even on how people like their performance cars
